Overview of the 2019 TSAP Annual Conference and Presentations

The Individual, Family, and Society: From Brokenness to Transformation

What are the shared childhood experiences among children with problematic behaviors, individuals with depression or anxiety who experience suicidal thoughts, alcohol and drug abusers, those suffering from psychosis or related disorders, and socially aggressive or even criminal individuals? How have family dynamics and school environments influenced their social development? Furthermore, how do Adlerian concepts such as low self-esteem, social interest, family atmosphere, behavioral goals, life styles, and a sense of belonging contribute to our understanding of whether an individual’s response to life’s challenges is healthy or dysfunctional?

TSAP invites professionals from counseling, education, family therapy, social work, psychotherapy, and medicine, along with interested stakeholders, to explore how to build a support system that fosters harmony and progress. Together, we aim to support individuals or groups who are struggling in the margins, helping them to overcome adversity, rebuild confidence, and recognize the potential for positive change.
